The right to education in India is a very difficult goal to achieve, therefore the Mamo Educational Foundation
has decided to contribute to the construction of a boarding school in Hahim in the State of Assam, India. Support
for this initiative makes it possible for nuns, adolescents and pre-adolescents who live far away from the School
to live in a house where they can easily access the educational offerings of their community.
The Mamo Educational Foundation donated 32,000 Euros for the construction of the boarding school.
Phase of the project
The construction started after the land was blessed where the school will be built.
The first stone of the boarding school was laid on February 11, 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the development
of the construction site has been stopped with the hope that it will resume soon.
The Mother Superior General, Lucia Bressan of the Congregation Povere Serve della Divina Provvidenza,
officially sent her thanks to the Mamo Educational Foundation.
